Inspection and acceptance of material and equipment, requiring certification by an independent and competent inspection organization, is one of the major activities of ITENG. The inspection activities provide for objective and reliable evidence as to the quality of purchase materials and equipment and their conformity with the procurement documentation.

These inspections can be executed, as appropriate, at the mill, forge or foundry, in the shop, works or at site. The extent to which the inspection activities apply, depends upon the nature and scope of the work to be performed and the importance of the equipment and services involved.
